Good News for Pikachu!
Pikachu is a 5 year old Pekingese who was picked up as a stray by Animal Control. She had a badly infected and ulcerated right eye, a corneal abrasion on the left eye, dental disease and despite having been in pain and neglected she still sought human affection. As soon as she arrived it was apparent that the eye needed emergency attention. A quick plea went out
to the public and within hours we raised the $1,550.00 needed to make her comfortable and begin the healing process. She had surgery to remove the destroyed eye, dental cleaning
and a few extractions, and has begun medical treatment for her other eye. We hope to have her functioning at 100% soon but in the meantime she is enjoying the extra attention she receives from the staff.
