Volunteer Activities

Email info@savedme.org if interested in volunteering!

The following are the activities that are available depending on the time of day and the rescues’ needs. When you arrive please let the staff know if you are comfortable walking a dog, or if you would like to do activities that are not related to dog walking.

Kong stuffing – Create your favorite recipes which can be frozen inside Kongs to be distributed throughout the day to our pups. Kongs alleviate boredom and encourage dogs to express their natural behavior.  5-60 minutes – Bring a friend!

Laundry, dishes and food service – We never stop taking care of our guests so if you have time to help us with this we would have time for other equally important tasks that sometimes fall to the wayside – Bring a friend!

Meeting room play – take dogs out to our indoor play space in small groups or one at a time to play – two hours each shift – 6 dogs at 20 -30 minutes each group. (This is a great activity on rainy or cold days) Keep our pups socialized and in shape!

Dog walking – So you’ve been promising yourself you’d get out and do it. What could be a better a better motivator than an exercise buddy! Need throughout the day. Our doggies will make you glad you started getting in shape! Urgently needed in the morning. While kennels are empty they can easily be deep cleaned. Attendance at an orientation is recommended but not required. Please note that dog walkers are needed at our main adoption center and all adoption satellites shelters at Doggie Style Pets stores.

Groomers/Bathers – Help our hopeful pets put their best foot forward. It really helps to make a great first impression. Bathers needed any morning or afternoon. Come in and ask who needs your skills.
