Tom Hickey, Sr. noted animal activist, leaves $100K gift to Saved Me pet rescue

We are saddened by the loss of one of Pennsylvania’s most vocal and effective animal welfare and humane law advocates. He was determined and successful at making improvements locally and nationally for all animals and Pennsylvania’s animals have many more protections because of Tom. We are grateful to have called Tom a friend and are comforted by the fact that his children Tom Jr. and Kim (one of our volunteers) have taken over his legacy. Tom was a great father and example and when he decided to get things done there was no stopping him.

Thank you Tom, Sharon, Tom Jr. and Kim for all the dogs you continue to save.
You paved the way for so many good changes and made lives better!
