Sumatra’s Story

Sumatra Was Adopted On 10/02/2014

Sumatra is just one of the dozens of cats we save from a life on the streets. Sumatra was originally found as a stray in South Philly when he was just a few months old. He was left to fend for himself on the streets of Philadelphia. Lucky for Sumatra, we brought him into our adoption center, where he received medical care, food, water, and a warm bed for the first time in his short life. After he was fully vaccinated, healthy and neutered, Sumatra was adopted.

Will you make a donation so we can rescue more homeless animals from the street like Sumatra?

Parson’s Story

Parson Was Adopted On 05/19/2014

Five month old Parson was rescued from Animal Control in Philadelphia where he was brought in as a stray. Parson received food, shelter and medical care at our shelter. During the initial medical examinations, it became evident that he was experiencing pain and difficulty running. He was not acting like a five month
old puppy. Radiographs revealed that his growth plates were not closing properly and this injury or birth defect would need the attention of an orthopedic surgeon. Thanks to your support and the tender loving care of the Staff and Volunteers at Saved Me, Parson’s orthopedic surgery was a success. Adopted three weeks after his surgery, Parson has made a complete recovery and now enjoys walks, runs and the love of his new family and friends.

Will you make a donation so we can save more animals with urgent medical needs like Parson?
